Sandra KentishThe research interests of Associate Professor Sandra Kentish, Deputy Department Head Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at the University of Melbourne, focus on separations technology. In the area of membrane separations, she is interested in dairy membrane operations, desalination and in both polymeric and nanoporous carbon membranes for gas separation. She also has an active research program in the application of ultrasound to separation processes. Prof Kentish is a Corporate Member, Institution of Chemical Engineers in Australia, and Member, Australian Institute of Energy. She has received the following awards: Caltex Teaching Award (2007), Edward Brown Award for Teaching Excellence (2007), Universitas 21 Fellowship (2005), Kelvin Award for Teaching Excellence (2004).
